Volunteer Spotlight: Morgan Farmer! Morgan is a part of the meal planning team for Hungry Souls. She says, “The best part about serving with Hungry Souls is doing something tangible that helps our local community and make sure everyone gets fed!”
We are SO thankful for Morgan and our other volunteers who plan healthy, nutritious meals for the families we feed. Thank you for what you do, Morgan!

What a month August was! We are so happy to share the amazing work God has done through our supporters—all of you!
In the month of August, Hungry Souls…
- Served nearly 1500 meals.
- Received food donations from two food drives…for a whopping total of nearly 1620 pounds of food.
Thank you to everyone who donated, prayed, volunteered, and hosted food drives in August. We couldn’t do this without each and every one of you. Are you willing to host a food drive in your neighborhood, school, workplace, church, or even your grandma’s house? We will happily help set up a food drive. Contact us today!
Hungry Souls T-Shirts
In August, we also put our t-shirts on sale! T-shirts are a great way to raise awareness of the hunger problem in our area and spread the word of what we do to end it. The proceeds from 1 t-shirt purchase can feed a family for 2 weeks! Not sure how to explain the need and what Hungry Souls does? Click this link for a Facebook post to save and share!
Haven’t gotten your t-shirt yet? We still have some left! Follow this link to our PayPal account to make your order. (Click the PayPal link under ‘Online’)
($20 each through PayPal. Please add $5 for shipping if needed. Sizes adult S-XXL.
Leave a note with your size and address if you need it shipped. Don’t forget to add $5 for shipping!)
Keep a lookout for our sponsorship program we’ll release next month.
In October, we’ll start our Sponsor a Family program. We couldn’t be more excited about this! You’ll have the opportunity to sponsor a local family in need of food over school breaks and holidays. More info to come!
